My son running on the beach, enjoy the time you have with them when they are little you blink and they are all grown up. Keep running strong my son.
Walking to work this morning I saw this Christmas tree infront of a local TV station. The Christmas tree makes the area look a little more festive. I got to thinking many people have taken a picture of this tree. I loved this Christmas tree yet I wanted to do something different, not just add a filter and upload it to Instagram. So I took a moment to walk around the tree to take it all in. I must admit I did feel a litte silly at first. I then saw the building in the background and like how the lines were all converging upwards. So angling myself and ignoring the people who were staring I took the photo.
…and yes added a filter and posted it to Instagram. 🙂
Recently I have found that I like to wake up early, before the world has come to life. Some days I am rewarded with images such as this.
When I arrived at the cottage I looked at the lake though how nice it would be to capture the lake when it is still. Every morning I woke up hoping to see this site and on the 3rd morning I was able to capture this image. It speaks to me about patience.
“Patience is power.
Patience is not an absence of action;
rather it is “timing”
it waits on the right time to act,
for the right principles
and in the right way.”
― Fulton J. Sheen
Thanks giving weekend here in Canada allowed time for a walk in the park and the opportunity to capture the beginnings of a glorious season. When we hear the call of the Canadian geese overhead we know that it’s either spring or fall. In either case it is beautiful.
It was just a perfect day.
Went to the beach took some shots around the Cobourg marina. Nice to spend that day walking the beach and enjoying time with my family and friends. It really was a perfect day.
What a beautiful day at the Cobourg beach, weather was perfect the beach was not too crowded. Spent the day walking the beach and Cobourg Marina taking photos. All in all this was one of the best days of the summer (so far). Sat on the pier to watch the sail boats drift by, nice quite moment spent there with my dad.
Bride & Bouquet, this shot was taken as we were waiting for our golf carts to arrive. The bride and I were chatting about the service and the guests. Since I was there to take pictures, I began to walk around her and get some detailed shots. As I took shots of her, her dress, etc. I continued to ask her questions about the guests and her family, this get her to relax allowing me to shoot around her. I was able to compose just by using the available light an background.
This is one of my favorites from this day, to me this photo shows her strength and at the same time I can see her feminine side.
Caught this moment as the bridal party was lining up to enter the reception hall. I am not sure who was more excited about the wedding the flower girl or the bride. 🙂
