Cobourg Marina, Cobourg, Ontario, Canada

Cobourg Marina

What a beautiful day at the Cobourg beach, weather was perfect the beach was not too crowded. Spent the day walking the beach and Cobourg Marina taking photos. All in all this was one of the best days of the summer (so far). Sat on the pier to watch the sail boats drift by, nice quite moment spent there with my dad.

Summer Ride

Summer Ride

Summer Ride

Was at the beach laying down when I saw this bicycle leaning against the tree. This got me thinking about my bike when I was younger and how summers seemed so glorious. For me my summer evolved around my bike, my bike gave me freedom, I could ride to see my friends hang out then we would all ride together. We would ride to go swimming, to the park to play, to friends houses, we would even ride them on trails. It was truly a wonderful time.

The other interesting thing about this photo is that I had completely changed my perspective, which produced an interesting result.

Sorry about the delay in post however live is making me very busy and so I may not be posting as often but I will continue to post.

Cheers,

Football Season Begins

Lining Up

Lining Up

Football (American) season has begun for us here in Canada. I must say of all the sports I shoot, Football is my favorite. I love this game, as teams need to have various skills, which allows for all kinds of different types of players. From huge linemen, small fast receivers and nimble strong and fast running backs. Every play requires each player to play a part work together as one.

The one thing I love here is that no one player is the only star it truly is a team sport. The boys I get to shoot are rough on the field and yet real gentlemen off the field.

I have a long commute in the mornings, which means I need to get going just as the world is waking up. Some mornings I am greeted with a beautiful surprise, like this one.

Was walking in a park when I spotted this woodpecker in a tree. I followed him for a bit until I was able to get a picture of him. Love the colors in this picture and the contrast the bird brings to white flowers and blue sky.

Please feel free to submit any questions and I will do my best to answer them. I received a question from “ogletterhead” who blogs over at http://ogletterhead.wordpress.com/ and the question is “What’s ur advice in taking picture in the dark?”. I will post a complete answer Monday, thanks again for the question.

This is actually a long strip under the power lines where people come to walk their dogs. On this walk I was remembered to bring my camera.

Took this picture last fall as part of an idea I had for a four seasons project. Unfortunately when I went back I noticed that a new housing development was begin constructed. Still this is a nice memory for me.

Winter Beach

Beaches even in winter is beautiful.

I find that I am often surprised when I wake up before the world shifts into high gear. I especially love indulging in the quite of the morning. On this one occasion the morning was very cold and walking on the beach I saw how all the elements came together to provide this image. I just loved how the ice formed on a discarded tree branch.

As always please feel free to leave me your comments or critiques.
